Are you losing sleep because your partner snores? Do you wake yourself up at night because you snore?

Why do you snore?

The most common reason that causes snoring is when your tongue, structures in your mouth and your throat become too relaxed. Your tongue partially blocks your throat and when air passes through on inhalation it creates vibrations in the tissues causing the snoring sound.

Snoring can be very disruptive to your sleep, it can also be associated with serious medical conditions such as sleep apnea, heart conditions and high blood pressure.

A proper consultation is required to determine whether it is just snoring or if you may be suffering from something more serious.

How do anti-snoring devices work?

The device is held in position be your teeth. It is custom made to fit your upper and lower teeth. The splint holds the lower jaw in a forward position to help open up your airway.

This keeps your tongue in a forwards position and helps the passage of air on inhalation and exhalation.

How do I get my anti-snoring device?

We will arrange a consultation for you. at your request. If your are suitable for an anti-snoring device we will take some impressions and send them off to a specialised dental laboratory to create your device.
